It is with great enthusiasm that we are launching the Schuyler Line Navigation Company internship program in partnership with SUNY Maritime. This exciting program will allow SUNY Maritime students with an interest in a career shipping out to gain real-world experience aboard our vessels and at our headquarters office in Annapolis. This two-year program will include a scholarship, a cadet shipping component aboard a SLNC vessel, and an internship to learn about our shoreside operations. We’re excited to launch this program and will share updates on our webpage in the coming months.
In August 2018, SLNC Moku Pahu loaded wheat grown in Oregon as part of a USAID Food for Peace delivery destined for Yemen. More than 176,000 tons of wheat were shipped via U.S. and foreign flag vessels, carrying enough wheat to feed as many as seven million people for two months. Yemen has been torn apart by famine and civil war, making it the most serious humanitarian crisis currently in the world. SLNC Moku Pahu and her crew safely delivered the cargo to its final destination in October. Thank you to the captain and crew for undertaking this critical mission.
On Saturday, November 3, 2018, Dome Chartering tugged their way to victory over Annapolis in the 21th Annual Tug of War. Dome Chartering & Trading is a long-standing sponsor of the fundraising event and hosts a party for friends, family and supporters on the day of the event. Funds raised from the event support local schools and charities. Click to watch a video of this fun event.

Recently, the SLNC Pax successfully completed her second special survey and COI renewal. The survey and inspection were completed in Busan, Korea and she has continued her voyage to Yokosuka, Japan to resume her vital mission in the Far East. We are grateful for the hard work of our crew, managers, and staff to complete the surveys successfully and on time.
On January 26, 2018, the EOT Spar left Schuyler Line Navigation Company’s fleet. The EOT Spar was SLNC’s first US flag ship and we are so grateful for her many years of service. A heartfelt thanks goes out to the crew, technical, and support teams that supported many voyages over the years. Your dedication was unparalleled and we look forward to watching her future journeys.
